Lou Perrine’s Gas Station Kenosha, Wisconsin
We have made custom rolling papers for a variety of interesting businesses. Yet we are still constantly amazed. Even though our products are sold at numerous gas stations, we recently made custom rolling papers for one of the coolest in the country: Big Lou’s in Kenosha, Wisconsin, run by Anthony Perrine, and we just had to write about it here.
This place is so cool, and the art for their custom rolling papers is so sweet we just had to share it with all of you!
So here is a little bio. Don’t let the bio for you. They sell liquor, or a full-service gas station, deliver some delicious food from their Standing Room Only restaurant, and provide the greatest customer service you’ll see this side of the Mason-Dixon.
In 1954 Lou Perrine Senior started a small full-service Clark station on the corner of 52nd St. and Sheridan Road. It was back in the good ol’ days when someone in coveralls came out with a smile, pumped your gas, checked your oil, cleaned your windshield, and they did it all at once. Grandpa Lou was known for his smiling face and outstanding customer service.
Lou Junior entered the family business during his high school years. While pumping gas for his father, Liu Junior not only learned the business, but also met his future wife, Laurie. In 1985 the Perrine family lost grandpa Lou to cancer. To respect and honor his late father, Lou Junior took over the business. Overtime he turned the small Full-service gas station into the one-stop full service shop that you see today. In 2008 Lou’s oldest son, Anthony, entered the family business, making it three generations strong. There are not many businesses left where you can stop in and shake the owners hand. They take pride in that! The Perrine’s want you to stop in anytime and introduce yourself. As they say “From our family to yours… We sincerely appreciate your business.”
